IT’S EDUCATIONAL TIME
A few days ago Alessio went to the elementary school of Baccano (La Spezia) and taught an animation class to a bunch of lovely first grade kids.
He showed them how animated cartoons are made and what is the meaning behind geometrical shapes, like circle, square, triangle in character design. As a practice exercise, Alessio guided the children in drawing characters along the lines of famous animation designs, triggering a lot of excitement and quite a laughter!
In the end, after a little game of “guess who this character is” based only on geometrical shapes, Alessio and the children came up together with a mascotte for the school…”Back” the wizard rabbit! Alessio animated a little jump for Back, causing all the children to cheer and jump as well.
It was terrific, the kids were so adorable but also extremely focused on the activities proposed and this is an experience that Story Bards will keep bringing to schools, to engage the little ones with “out of the box” exercises, and why not? To have fun!
Have a good one Story People! XD
